Emo Tours Egypt · Coptic Cairo, Citadel, Sultan Hassan, Khan el-Khalili

A guided day with the tickets included

A guide, a private car and every entry fee for nine stops, from the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra to the Citadel, Sultan Hassan and Khan el-Khalili, in one booking. Pick it if you want nothing to sort out at the gates: there's a single option, and the tickets are already in it.

Guided Day with Entry Fees Included

About this experience

This is the all-in version of Emo Tours Egypt's Old Cairo day. Same nine stops as its private day and full-day tour: the Hanging Church, Abu Serga, Ben Ezra and the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As in Coptic Cairo, then Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifai, the Citadel and Khan el-Khalili. The difference is that there's one booking option, "Tour without lunch", and it already includes the guide and the entry fees.

What the fees cover: the two paid stops, the Citadel at EGP 550 (Muhammad Ali Mosque included) and Sultan Hassan with Al-Rifai at EGP 220. That's EGP 770 per foreign adult, about $15. Everything else on the route is free. Lunch at a local restaurant is an optional extra, not in the price. The from-price is tiered like the others: $85 is the per-person rate for the biggest group, so two people pay more each.

Is it worth paying for the package? Run both: enter your party size here and on the private day with the guide option, then add EGP 770 each to the second. If the gap is small, take this one and never touch a ticket window. Reviews sit at 4.8 from 106, a steadier score than the operator's cheaper listings; the three-star reviews are about guides who repeated themselves, pushed for tips or tried to skip the bazaar.

  • Every entry fee included: nothing to pay at the gates
  • Guide and private car in the same single option
  • Nine stops across Coptic and Islamic Cairo
  • Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifai as well as the Citadel
  • Rated 4.8 from 106 reviews

What guests say

★★★★★

Our tour guide Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Without him we would never have found all the churches and mosques we visited. Thanks to our driver that somehow kept us safe in this crazy traffic.

I did this trip solo and felt very safe and well taken care of, my driver Esam did a good job manoeuvring the streets. My guide Hola was very knowledgeable and witty, really made the day enjoyable.

We saw Cairo’s famous mosques, Coptic churches, and one synagogue. Ruwana not only shared the history of the buildings but helped us better appreciate her culture, family life, and faith.

This tour was perfect. Our guide Sameer and Sayed made sure to take us to all places and share as much knowledge of the history with us. They were also very helpful with the infants in our group.

Tips before you book

  • Your tickets are paid. If anyone asks you to pay at a gate, decline and message the operator.
  • At the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, a guest reports shoe-keepers pressing hard for tips. Keep EGP 10 to 20 in small notes and hand it over without fuss.
  • Insist on the bazaar if it's on your list. One guest had to push for it at the end of the day.
  • Tip at the end, once. A three-star guest felt pressed to tip several times during the day.
  • Want lunch? Add it at booking; it isn't in the price.

Frequently asked questions

What entry fees are included in the guided Islamic and Coptic Cairo day?

The two paid stops: the Citadel with the Muhammad Ali Mosque (EGP 550 for a foreign adult) and Sultan Hassan with Al-Rifai (EGP 220). The churches, Ben Ezra, the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As and the bazaar are free anyway.

Is lunch included?

No. The only option is "Tour without lunch". A meal at a local restaurant is an optional extra.

How much does it cost for two people?

Viator doesn't publish the tiers, so we won't guess. $85 is the per-person rate for the largest group; two people pay more each. Enter your party size on Viator to see the real total. Our price guide shows how to compare it with the ticket-free options.

Who runs the tour?

Emo Tours Egypt, which also runs the private Islamic and Coptic day and the full-day tour on the same route.
